That was one of the best defensive efforts I have seen from the horns in a long time. Mason, Balbay, and Ward were just all up in their guys jock.

If we just got half of those missed defensive boards, we beat these guys by 20. If we make our free throws, we beat them by 30...

And Villanova ain't no slouch.

Congrats guys! Watched a good deal of the game tonight, VERY solid win for the Horns! I haven't seen that kind of defensive effort in quite awhile. That wasn't some push-over 'Nova team in the slightest. The score even seemed a whole lot closer than the game really was (I'll agree with the bad free throw shooting being a factor). Look forward to our game with you all later on in the season.

Maybe our team will be like Memphis last year which saw just above 50% on FTs during the year and some crazy 80% or sum-such in the tournament. Or at least one can hope.

Great athletic ability, great perimeter defense, AJ is the man when he gets hot, but our downfall is going to be our free throw shooting just like Memphis last year. Not saying we will make it to the finals, but damn it is frustrating watching them shoot free throws.

Atchley was supposedly hurt last night, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but he still played 15 minutes, had 0 pts, 0 rebounds - 0 everything except turnovers and fouls.

The irony is that with all the problems from the line, along with AJ he is our best FT shooter percentage wise (89%) this season, albeit on only nine attempts. Seems like they should be trying to get him more involved in the half court sets and at least put him on the line more.

Way to go Horns! Great win. I know we got things to work on and I am sure they will correct them.
It was great that the announcers were critical of the BCS and computers in college football by having computers decide the NC instead of a real playoff system on the field. Good job.
