Verdict Reached in Zimmerman trial

I agree with feeling sorry for martins parents. I also feel sorry for Zimmerman who has little chance of a future and the fired police chief whose childhood dream was to be the chief of this town. There are no winners here.

Along with the OJ case, this will go down in history as an injustice. Good luck to Zimmerman's neighbours.

It was the correct verdict and he didn't even need a corny catch phrase. There was almost zero evidence and the witnesses were mostly idiots.

How quickly will Obama send his DOJ Brownshirts down there to demand a civil suit?

Roger35 you are a real piece of work. The most amazing poster on the board. Obviously you did not watch the trial.

1. That doesnt change the factors that decided the case in any way.

2. When he was told to wait, he returned to his car. Thats when he was attacked out of nowhere.

No offense, but it doesn't sound like you followed the case closely. I don't know anybody that followed the case everyday that would have decided any differently than the jury.

This trial is a sesperate attempt to draw a larger meaning about how young black males are treated by the justice system. I agree that the issue needs to be addressed, but if there is a single case that is going to bring that about, it better be a very stong case - this isnt it.

Larry, while it's true that I didn't follow the tick-tock of the proceedings, didn't zimmerman say that he followed martin in 911 call?

He followed him until the 911 operator told him to return to his car. At that point he did as he was instructed. As he was returning, having not seen Martin in several minutes, he was attacked. Martin was probably very scared after being followed. Zimmerman was obviously scared while getting his head beat into the pavement. There are no monsters here.

Maybe things would have turned out differently if Trayvon wasn't high at the time. Hard to control yourself when not in your right mind.

While I feel the verdict was correct based upon the evidence, I also believe a lot of people made mistakes that brought them to where they are now.

Regardless of how this trial ended, lives have changed forever and my heart goes out to everyone involved in this tragedy.

Tragedies:

1) 17 year old lost life
2) Parents lost son
3) Young man trying to protect neighborhood will lose his freedom even though he was found guilty.
4) More black teens will be killed over and over by other black males and nothing is effectively done about it.

Injustices:

1) Young man unfairly prosecuted by federal government actions.
2) Young man not considered innocent until proven guilty.
3) Young man proven not guilty, jackasses like 35 still do not believe in constitutional rights.
4) CNN and NBC news continue to be allowed to be called news organizations after continued unethical reporting.
5) Zimmerman will continue to be hunted by NAACP and Justice Department.

Come on Deez, he's already claimed this to be one of the greatest injustices of all time along with OJ.....just before he admits he knows nothing about the case.
