UT vs. tcu

Horns playing like it was a practice game. Don't know if that is good or bad.

I think there's good and bad. Obviously, there's good when you avenge a road loss by, what all roads are pointing too, by double digits. Also good to watch Ibeh grow as the No. 1 Center available on the team, and to see Roach bounce back after a tough game in Lawrence.

Texas still has some improvement to work on from here on out, because this is probably the easiest competition the rest of the year. Isaiah has looked a little froggy lately, and he needs to get back in his groove. Texas started 0-6 from three, maybe it was 0-7, and that could get the Horns in a real deep hole on the road or against elite teams as well. Texas also has 14 turnovers so far too, so another thing to work on.

All in all, this is all anybody could ask for in a bounce back win. I liked the Horns' hustle tonight, they'll need to bring it again on Saturday against a pretty decent Vandy squad

Nice to see different players step up and lead the way like Roach and Ibeh did tonight.

Smart seems to know what to do in most situations. Tonight he expected to win and had the guards feed Ibeh and let him gain some confidence in his offensive game. He even looked good at the free throw line.

Then he gave Roach a prominent role in the game and for the most part he responded. He needed a game like this for his confidence.

The result was a productive game for the team as a whole, instead of just going through the motions.

Yeah the fouls situation was ridiculous. But this was a really nice win for Texas - particularly because they did it on a night when they weren't shooting treys well. They have to be able to win in more than one manner, and this was a good sign.

I suspect TCU really underestimated Ibeh, but can you really blame them... I don't expect he'll get a lot of offensive games like tonight, but it's a step for him. Hitting those free throws almost brought me to tears - I can't imagine how frustrating that's been for him and for the rest of the team, knowing a foul is basically a turnover. He starts hitting free throws and it opens up a whole new aspect of this team's approach.
