I'd think that with 19 wins against tough competition, we're way past having to worry about winding up in the play-in game. I'd think we'd be at least a 12 or 13 seed by now.

Two of the play-ins are for 11-seeds. It's usually major conference bubble teams who end up in them. Bracketology has Louisville, OU, Alabama, and UCLA as the play-in teams right now. 12's and 13's are reserved for midmajor and minor conference champs. Or like a sub-.500 team that surprisingly ends up winning a conference championship game.
