UT @ Iowa St.

These are the kind of games that even some minutes from Ridley, would really make a difference. It could help offensively, defensively, and help keep Ibeh out of foul trouble.

Texas has no inside game from the post, other than put backs. ISU got inside all night and posted up our smaller players. They got way more easy looks than Texas, then they hit some big treys in key situations, after the Horns would get close.

ISU did get the benefit of some calls down the stretch, which usually happens for the home team.

ISU was playing with desperation tonight and it showed, plus they got back McKay. Ibeh and Lammert got in foul trouble, Clear was mostly not a factor.

If Texas can get some combination of three or four wins to finish out the season, then maybe Ridley can give you something in the Big 12 or NCCA tourney.

The freshmen take turns having good games, Mack had a good game tonight, but he took some really bad shots, at bad times for them.

Felix was the inside game, for the most part. Taylor got frustrated because he couldn't get to the hole. He forced things tonight, but no inside game hurts his game too. Lammert going cold lately has really hurt.

This teams plays hard and tough, it just lacks an inside presence on offense. When Ibeh and Lammert get in foul trouble, the defense suffers too, ISU exploited that, taking advantage of many mismatches ending in easy shots. You just hope Ridley can give you that spark at times, when you need it, before the season closes.

NB, I see what you mean about Davis. He looks lost now. I don't know what happened to him. up until about 4 games ago, I thought he looked like the best freshman we had. He could hit 3's and drive.

Now he just looks lost.

Now it looks like Mack is finding a place in the rotation. Any news on Cam coming back or is he out for the season?

Still amazing that Texas still hasn't even played near their best basketball and they're still more than competing with these teams on the road.

This longhorn basketball team is going to be a real annoyance for opponents to deal with in March.

Also, just want to add that in the last two games combined, Texas only shot 23 free throws. The other two teams combined (home teams): 43. Buddy Hield alone had 11. Just something to think about...
