Worst officiated hoops game I have ever seen. This is on par with the OSU football game in the Strong era.

On another note, Ramey should get the most outstanding player with the job he did on Tech’s 3 pt shooters.

Team player sacrificing his offense to know what his role was in this game.
 
I know, I know—one game at a time.
But just a note to point out that with #2 seed Kentucky eliminated yesterday, if we beat Purdue, we'll be playing a team that's seeded lower than we are in the Sweet Sixteen.
 
Was at a track meet so missed the game. Glad to hear we pulled it off.

Maybe, as some have hoped, we'll go on a tear now :hookem:

Drove over to the game from Madison, fun environment for MM. Basically an away game the first half, Badger fans all rooting for VA Tech. FiServ is a great arena, all good seats.

So many VT fans doing down hook ‘em, WTF. Glad to shut them up in the end.

Last NCAA game I saw in person was Horns vs Arizona State in Milwaukee 2014, Cam Ridley tip-in at the buzzer. Glad this wasn’t that close!
 
That second half is what I think Texas has been pointing toward for a while, play that way Sunday and they have a real chance to get to the second weekend.

Not to discount our win, but I was thinking that Va. Tech might well be on tired legs and emotionally spent after having to win their tourney just to make it to the dance.

The first half showed them to be a very good tea.
But I do think they ran out of gas in the second half.
Not that we wouldn't beat them anyway.
It just might have been more of a nail biter.
One reason I was almost happy to see us lose the first game of the B12 tourney.
 
Great win and start to the tourney. Beard is another Tournament Tom. Purdue has been #1 at times earlier in the year, so they’re real good. But they’re beatable if we’re hitting the boards and our shooting is on.
