I'm with l00p in thinking that there have been some artificial muscle producers in Nadal's past, but I don't know if I would say he is still using.
However, either way, if they test for stuff in the future, I don't think that Nadal will have a long career because I think his body won't be able to hold up without assistance.
He has more nagging injuries than people say Djorkealkgthoith has.
Nadal made it tough for Murray and there some really long rallies and games. I think the long tennis season and his health has caught up with him this year. Even less than 100% he makes it to the semis on his worst surface at a major so that tells you something.
Roger vs. Murray will be very interesting and could go either way. I give Roger the edge since he hasn't lost there in 5 years but wouldn't be suprised to see Murray take a set, two, or three.
It was a pretty boring match and Murray just had nothing. The time sucked too. I was only able too catch part of the 3rd set at the gym by time I got off work and it was a roll.
Regardless it was another slam for Federer. 13 in all. 5 US Opens won in a row. 35 consecutive US Open matches won.
That is 18 straight slams he has made it to the semifinals or finals. He has won 11 of those and finished 2nd 4 times.
In a year that he has struggled he reached the SF as the Aussie and lost to the eventual winner Djokavic. He reached the finals at Garos and Wimbledon onlly to lose to Nadal. He won the US Open. He had 12 losses on the season after losing 9 times last year and 15 times from 04-06.
Overall Roger is 364-36 (91%) from 04-08 and won 12 of his 13 majors in that span. This has to be considered one of the best run in tennis history.
His play and win at the Open seems to show that he can have another couple of great seasons.
If he stays healthy, that is. He has had a pretty injury free career best I can remember. This is helped by a great fitness regimine and training. His nagging injuries lately have let Nadal take the spotlight where he would not have otherwise. If he stays healthy and returns to form, the tennis crown is his and his alone.
