Hi everyone I need your help this is an urgent prayer request! Please read. My family is orginally from England and we emigrated to Australia 4 years ago now. My grandmother comes over every christmas for a holiday and stays a few weeks. This year she had been here just over 3 weeks when she felt ill and collapsed in the bathroom on the morning of Tuesday the 21st of December, exactly 2 weeks before her 82nd birthday. She was rushed to hospital, at first they thought she had had a brain hemoredge. They did a scan but couldn't find any evidence of bleeding. She was hooked up to a life support machine. The following day I, along with the rest of my family went to visit her. I wasn't prepared for how bad she looked. She was barely recognisable. There was machinery and tubes and wires everywhere. It was a shocking sight and very upsetting.
Later in the day they did another scan on her brain and found out that she had had a massive stroke and was severly brain damaged and would be paralised down both sides of her body. The situation looked hopeless and we were told that her brain had suffered so much damage that recovery was impossible. The following day, yesterday, the decision was made to switch off her life support machine. Everyone, including the medical team expected her to not last long but surprisingly she is still breathing now, and without the aid of any machinery, nearly a day later.
The doctors say she has a very strong constitution. This has provided me with some comfort and optimism. Please pray for a miracle for her like I have been doing so that she can recover and get well again. All I want for Christmas is for her to get better and to be back with us. She's the kindest most loving generous person and the best grandmother anyone could ever have. She is always knitting toys or cardigans for people. She said so herself I would rather give than receive. My heart goes out to you all for your help. Her name is Gladys Dudden. Thank you so much and God bless!
