On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being capitalist and 10 being communist), where would you put most of today's Democrat Party members?

If you mean by capitalist people who think that private enterprise should control most means of production in the country, people should be free to live where they want, do the kind of job they want to do, own property?
I'm guessing it would be 1 to 1.1. If you have a more radical view of capitalism, say the state should not intervene to help those unable to earn because of age, disability or mental problems - I'd say it's about a 4.
I never interviewed a politician with any serious chance of getting elected in America who was even socilialst, much less communist to the point that they thought the state should control everything. And I spent a lot of time with them 1980-1990 when that was a big part of my job. But again, if you thnk this blowhard who says we have 80 communists in Congress is anything but a right wing nutjob I'm sure it would affect how you view people of more liberal persuasion. Hell you'd probably see Romney, one of America's most expert capitalists, at about a 3-4 on that scale. I'd very honestly give Romney a Perfect 1.
