Update on 2010 Outstanding Offers as of 3-23-09

I hope that AAS is right though. I think we already have a great class with who we got and should be ranked in the top 5. If we get White and Jeffcoat maybe top three. I would also love to get Hicks and Seastrunk since those are critical positions.
Colt we have several offers out. Who do you think we take if they want to come here and numbers be worked on later?

it's hard to say what the coaches are thinking. i don't think it's 'next 3 that commit'... or 'as many of these studs that we can get, and then we'll figure it out later'. for instance.. if white commits, then chances go way down for cobbs and reed, unless some of the other big names on our list go elsewhere. if hicks commits, it'll likely close the door on nelson and favors. i don't think jeffcoat or matthews will affect anyone (don't think washington will ever get an offer). seastrunk is a guy you figure they'd wait for, though i could see us sitting at 24 for several months, and then eventually offering another RB late in the year, if LS doesn't seem likely.

Thank you Colt. If Seastrunk doesn't come here I look for us to go after RBs in the 2011 class and concentrate more on offense except for maybe on WR. I also don't think we will have as many offers and sign ups that year after this great year.

Colt my understanding is that the AAS gets its information now from another main source instead of Ketchum and Burton. So far this year the "source," they've been using has been extremely accurate in predicting the next commits. I think they're batting 1.000 actually.

I think I know who they use now, and I think it's the same person who reported that Jeffcoat may make a decision soon (based on a conversation with Jeffcoat).

Per Burnt Orange Nation: Looks like the offer for Trovon Reed might come off the table bc of the commit of Jones and possible commit of D. White. I wonder if this will have a big impact in getting Seastrunk?

yeah, i saw that, zeke. i gotta wonder, though, what would happen if reed and seastrunk approached the staff with an all or nothing offer.

actually i don't have to wonder at all.

The 2010 Class is at a point where no one recruit is gong to make or break it, even ones as good as Reed or Seastrunk. How many WR are we going to take and will some of them be gray-shirted? I know we lose a ton over the next 2 years but damn we will have almost as many Wrs in the program as we do Olinemen.

My big worry is where are all the TE offers?

Well Seastrunk and Jeffcoat were in town for the weekend. Seastrunk's mother was also in town for the trip.

They are both also going to be at the Spring Game as well as Darius White and Jake Matthews. White is rumored to be committing at the game, and a radio personality said that Jeffcoat is tiring of the process too.

One of the big WR recruits we have right now is going to be moved to TE, I forget the player they said will most definitely not be a WR but a TE.
