UNCONSTITUTIONAL

In order to avoid leaving the appearance that the integrity of the Supreme Court had been compromised by partisan politics, it appeared to many last week that Justice John Roberts compromised the integrity of the court (by capitulating to the partisan pressure put on Roberts and the court by many in the media and on the left).
If it was his goal to increase public confidence in the Supreme Court, it appears he has failed. In fact, it appears that confidence in the court has actually diminished as a result of this politically driven little stunt:

Yes, Bush's second term had some bumpy spots. But how about the first term? Weapons of Mass Destruction? Axis of Evil (I always thought that sounded like something Rev Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson would say)? Kicked out the Iraqi dictator who kept the Shia in check in Iraq and Iran?

Yes, that first term was a genuine success story. Fannin at Goliad didn't have as remarkable a string of successes as the Neo Con Puppet did those first four years.

I forget, was the unfunded seniors drug plan passed in the first term or second?

I didn't vote for the idjit either time and haven't and wont vote for the current Idjit-in-chief either.

Just because there are two people on the ballot doesn't mean you have to vote for one of them.

Keep in mind that they are picked by an electorate that has large majorities that believe in UFOs, angels and devils, virgin births, that Kennedy was shot by a myriad of conspiracies, that teach their kids to believe in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy and the easter bunny.

And most of them watch television or listen to talk radio for their news.

Interesting chart, Michtex. George W Bush's popularity among independents was 8 points higher at the end of his term than at the beginning. Who would have thought? That certainly is not the message portrayed by the mainstream media. His popularity among R's and D's was statistically equal on the day he left office as to the day he was sworn in.

Not sure what mainstream media message you are trying to debunk, but a 28% approval rating is nothing to brag about.

You do realize those are his ratings from his second term only, right?

For those worried their employer will drop ins due to the new ruling, this may be good news if you work for a small business......ins premiums will be available as a tax credit for the business to help them offer coverage:

Also, the Mass Romney system had an increase in coverage offered by businesses after it was implemented. I just find this to be a myth more than a reality of what is going to happen.

I have no problem with a State, on its own, dreaming up and implementing a RomneyBama Care plan. Its the creation of a new Federal entitlement, that we can't afford, that is tripping me out.

At the State level when they come up with something they can't pay for they are forced to amend it (cut it or raise taxes). At the Fed level we will just print more money and issue more debt.
