this thread makes me laugh. we've hit a wall, but we'll be fine. both ksu and uconn absolutely mugged us down low, and our perimeter couldn't pick up the slack. once the shots start falling for bradley and brown, we'll be ok. otherwisen teams will still be able to collapse on dexter, making for tough entry passes. also, pittman can't sneeze without being called for a foul.

i do wish barnes would hire an "offensive coordinator." his entire career, he's never been able to put a consistently good scheme together. he's pretty good at drawing up individual plays after a TO, but in terms of doing anything other than high screens/pick and pop, we've got nothing. no spacing, poor movement, and too reliant on talent alone.

don't get me wrong, i love barnes, but he needs help offensively. our woes are only compounded by his teams' inexplicable inability to hit free throws. several years ago, someone told me that his teams don't even touch a basketball for weeks, because he wants to run them into shape before they think about offense. i don't know if that's true, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Well, the point of the thread was to point out that I may not have been totally off-base by saying (2 months ago) that we would lose to UConn by 10-15 points and then proceed to get roasted in typical hornfans fashion.

Sort of a pat on my own back, if you will.
