UIL Realignment 2018-20

Except for some Cy-Fair schools, Houston area all of 6A Region 3. Which means in theory that Cy-Fair ISD could have both schools in the 6A finals (in 2017 Region 1 played Region 2 and Region 3 played Region 4 in the semi's).

Some of the DFW teams got screwed for 6A. Half get the crappy Region 1 and the other half get the incredibly solid Region 2.

Denton guyer and Southlake Carroll are going to run or division with an iron fist until the change that.

After reviewing the alignment, all I can say is that they have long since quit smoking grapevine in Buna, and headed on to some serious mind-altering stuff.

How can they justify putting Marshall, Lindale, Longview, et all in Region 3, and 7 CyFair schools and Conroe in Region 2?

Worst of all, our future QB at PNG isn't likely to survive the season in that new district, and if he does, Manvel is waiting in bi-district.

White flight. Go to their games, and the fathers & grandfathers, who attended Port Arthur, wear PNG gear with the maroon & gold interlocking "PA".

Graduating classes have been shrinking since peaking at nearly 570 in the mid 60s. Port Arthur has gone from three high schools to one, which is 5A and shrinking. Beaumont has gone from 6 HS to two, back to 3, and now back to two next year. Orange & Cove have gone from 3 to one, and now it's 3A or 4A. Environmental cleanup has its costs - no, that is not a political statement.

they need to do a lot more environmental clean up especially in Beaumont and port Arthur. I was raised in the 409 my mother still lives there my children have never seen that city and if I have any say so they never will. I put my mom on a plane from bpt every 2 months to avoid having to venture back to that place.

My graduating class was over 500, but we were two blocks from the world's largest chemical complex. over 60% of my class was dead of cancer before they reached 50. That said, my dad worked in the middle of that complex for 48 years, smoked 2-3 packs a day, and never got it. When people asked how, he would tell them Pearl beer. :beertoast:

I lived in PA for about a year in my mid-20s. Got out first chance I got and never looked back, but it holds a sweet place in my heart as my daughter was born there. Also have fun softball memories from our Texaco softball team - the Scuds from accounting dept. lol
