I think it's up to the official scorer. They usually don't even give the error in a situation like that until the end of the at bat, and last night, they gave it immediately. Keith Moreland questioned it, too.

As for Russell, I know he's a great player and all, but this part of the season is not pressure. It's an early season tournament. Everyone plays in one, and even the best teams in the country are bound to lose at least one game. If he can't handle this, there's no way in hell he can handle Omaha.

A mistake every now and then is understandable. Several mistakes in one weekend, most of them due to frustration, is not acceptable for a guy with his abilities and experience.

Luckily for Texas, Augie is the best of the best when it comes to the mental stuff, so I know he will right the ship. It's just disappointing to see these very talented players letting their minds keep them from winning.
