UConn vs Cornell

UConn has very active hands on D and they are quick to get in the players faces. Remains me of the Aggies. Good size insidewith McLaren and Hunter starting.

This game is getting out of hand. They should switch soon to a closer game. Cornell is rushing the open looks they get. But, boy, is UConn quick. They are passing the ball around well.

Assuming the Horns win (which I am,

), they will need to (1) handle the pressure the Huskies apply fullcourt (2) move the ball and hit the open shot, (3) apply their own press (4) limit second chance pts and (5) help on D.

They still haven't switched to a more competitive game. What a surprise. Cornell will do good to score 50 while UConn will flirt with 100. Well, at least we get to watch the best freshman in the country in Maya Moore.

And people think the tour of ESPN is just a small infraction? I thnk ESPN gives lots of special attention to those teams that are on the East Coast. wonder what kinds of things get discussed when a UConn recruit comes to the ESPN studios??? This is my best side. this is my best shot.

Simply put, it was apparent that Geno actually showed a modicum of class in calling off the dogs. Yeah, I was surprised that he even knew what it was...but had he not put the scrubs in (as if the bench on that team can be called scrubs), they could have gone for 110-120 without much effort.

Cornell had several chances to have hung at least 70 on UConn but just missed too many shots against the UConn bench.

UConn is BIIIIIIIIIGGGG. That being said, a few of their players with size don't seem to have the overall skillset of, say, an Ashley/Courtney Paris or any of the other big girls in the Big 12. UConn is beatable, but our girls will have to absolutely bring it and keep the pedal mashed to the floor...I believe a true up-tempo, push-the-ball-on-offense game could work to our advantage.

they were the only two who immediately came to mind in terms of bulk that we have played against in a single game, and some of the huskier huskies didn't even fill the lane very well on either end of the floor. They seemed to also get winded more quickly than did the Paris duo. Was it the best example...no, but it likely got the point across that I was trying to make before seeking out beverages.

And this clarification is made as I go to seek more lobster
