Tyreke Evans

Yeah, many think he'll be a PG but I just don't see it. He may have a worse lefthanded dribble (or, at least, less used) than Justin Mason, who has by far the worst I've seen from a guard with such heavy minutes.

Who was the player from Missouri that was drafted by the Rockets and did great in preseason but ended up sucking after teams realized he could only go to one side? Always wore a band aid. Derrick Chievous?

Wes is also "Uncle," to two of our Players. Past or Present I won't say.

Texas has a shot for Evans. Barnes and Calipari are both cut from the same cloth. They will take a kid and teach them as mush as possible in one year knowing that kid will be in the NBA and it's their job to prepare the kid.

So for all of you saying Memphis is dirty because of Wes. He has ties to UT as well.

Wes gets nothing from the players. He gets paid by the GMs of Pro Teams. He is a man living on connections.

I hear that he's waiting to see what Rose/Calipari are going to do. He has plans for one year in college perhaps two.

If Memphis wins Monday, then Calipari is probably going to lean towards trying to get the upcoming Knicks job.

So WWW is telling him to wait. If Calipari feels he will be going pro, WWW will know. Then Evans will choose Texas.

And we get another 1 year wonder.

After his prior NBA experience, I seriously doubt Calipari's going back for more. He might be interested in a higher profile college job, but he got his fingers burned pretty badly when he was the Nets' coach.

Only reason I might disagree is that he has been involved in every major college opening for at least two years. I got the impression he wasn't happy. Whether he actually sought all that attention, who knows?

He's actually in a good position in Memphis. He brings in a lot of talent (Calipari's always been a very good recruiter.) and is in a conference that's not hard to dominate. He schedules a tough enough non-conference schedule to not get beat up over who's in C-USA. He's also low enough on the totem pole that the NCAA doesn't spend much time looking at his program, and Memphis is willing to pay plenty to keep him in town. What's not to like about that situation? He may tire kick bigger openings, but I have my doubts he's leaving Memphis anytime soon...and certainly not to go back to the league.

I'm just wondering how much further they can go. They've had to rework his deal the last two years.

Dodds had to do it for RB, too, but at least you know he could find the money. Memphis doesn't fill an 80,000-seat stadium six times a year.

They may have to sell more pork ribs up there, or take a loan from the Presley estate, if Calipari wants another raise.
