Got to hand it to Barnes and the boyz, they put themselves in position to win it
even after a horrendous 2nd half.
 
Holmes said that he was off balance and put it up one handed and hoped he was still behing the arc.

He wasn't sure it was a three till he saw the ref's signal.

UConn never put the three on the board, then changed it after the final buzzer.
 
Got to hand it to Barnes on the play call. He has always been able to call end of game plays that give our guys great looks. Excellent execution by the team and a fantastic shot by Holmes!!!!

Great win by this team on the road without Taylor. This is going to be a fun season.

As I said before, I do not know that we will beat Kentucky without Taylor but I do think our defense gives us a chance to compete.
 
Barnes said the first option on the play was to Turner down low and that he was open.

Holland took out two defenders with a screen that got Holmes open for the three.
 
Htown, I don't know or think we could beat Kentucky WITH Taylor but I know what you are saying. This may actually be good for them to get that level of competition and further develop leadership and get experience for a few months from now when the Tourney starts.

I don't expect a win from the Horns v. the Cats but I do hope for a gutty stand up never back down smack you back in the face output.
 
Haha yeah, did not mean to imply kentucky was a win with Taylor though I think we would have decent shot at beating them. While the loss at Kentucky is even more probable without Taylor, this team showed in Madison Square Garden and at Connecticut that all is not lost and it is certainly not hopeless! We might catch them on a bad day or the refs may go against them. Who knows? We need to play them tough and hopefully, as you said, get better for tournament time when we have Taylor back.

Also, we overcame the black.... I mean really dark gray jersey curse!!!!!!!!!! If we can overcome that, anything can happen haha.
