TX v OKST game 1

She followed her older sister to Fort Lewis. That school then eliminated the sport, I believe. They were looking for a school which had scholarships for both for both of them, and selected OSU.

I just lover her game. She never left the floor, stays out of foul trouble, plays hard, outstanding free throw shooter, and her mid-range game is my favorite. Was bummed we didn't get her.
Ahhh, thanks for the corrections. I could never figure out why a 5-star would go to a little known college to play. That makes sense.

I really wanted Texas to get Gray. She's an incredible player. I don't know why Karen can't recruit a great shooter like her. Just imagine how good she would be if she had half the athleticism as Joyner.

Maybe she’s a really good mid range jump shooter because she doesn’t have the athleticism of Joyner.

should not be a surprise. No elite player would now consider playing KA basketball. Can’t even win any kind of championship, conference or tournament. Gets schooled big time whenever we play Baylor. she’s better off not playing at Texas.

Except we still get top/elite recruits but you keep that echo chamber of yours going if it helps you feel better.

Rewatching the game, we played solid defense. I’m really liking watching this teams fight. Celeste Taylor has saved us on more than one occasion, she really is a complete player. Let’s hope she doesn’t follow recent high recruit trends and transfer out, she could be an All-American and B12 Defensive POY by the time she graduates.

Other than the turnovers, this team really struggles around the rim. There seems to be a minimum of 7 or 8 easy shots missed every game, but this game was possibly the worst of the year in that department, maybe even worse than USF. The announcer during the TCU-WVU game last night said that there were 14 bunnies misses by us in the FIRST half.

At first, I thought the TCU loss would be a really bad one, but they’ve proven to be a pretty good team. The horned frogs completely outplayed WVU last night, were up by 20 at one point. They are ties with us for second place at 5-2 in conf.

This TX team really can beat or lose to anyone in this conference which makes the next game against OU a little worrisome. They’ve lost three in a row and are hungry for a win. Taylor Robertson has shot 8/29 from three the last two games, TWENTY-NINE attempts. Hopefully this isn’t the game she gets her groove back and goes off.

I think Celeste is the most aggressive defensive player I've ever seen. Her shooting is not bad, and hopefully will get better year by year. Love to watch her.

She’s the best freshman in the B12. Ayoka Lee probably gets FOY because of how deficient
K-ST was in the post and the difference she’s made for them.

You can tell Celeste gives maximum effort, and enjoys playing defense, just like Ariel Atkins. Unfortunately, that tenacity, especially early in the game, leads to fouls, which leads to sitting on the bench; again, just like Ariel Atkins most of her career at Texas. Somehow, she has to take it down a notch so she can stay on the court more minutes.

The game will start to slow down for her and it won’t be as big of an issue in the years to come. She’s still adjusting and does sometimes overplay; it’s a delicate balance, but she will figure it out.

I noticed that most of the game, her one assignment was to guard Robertson (30) and then later in the game, I didn't see her in the face of Robertson but guarding Williams (25) which makes sense since Williams was scoring consistently for them. She really is our best defender and day-by-day I see her growing into Ariel 2.0.
