I held out hope for Karen as long as I could see improvement. But we have peaked and even slid back now. If change doesn’t happen at the top, results won’t change on the court. Very sad to say this because I like her, but the players deserve better.

There hasn't been improvement on this team since Ariel and Brooke's junior season. From there it was stagnation, then regression, and now accelerated regression. This team is now flirting with the bubble. Another Kansas or Kansas State-type loss and it could be WNIT.

Except we traditionally have not accepted an WNIT invitation so it will simply be done. Very sad. She has done less with more. The players deserve better.

People keep talking about the new arena like it’s due to be finished in the next month. The arena won’t be done until another two years which is why I don’t think CDC feels any pressure in having to replace these coaches immediately.

I don't think CDC feels any "pressure" either but CDC doesn't appear to be someone who enjoys being at the bottom of a heap in two important sports either. The question is how much more embarrassment is he willing to suffer at the hands of Shaka and Karen? We'll find out in about 40 days.

It's gonna be less than 40 days barring a miracle NCAA tournament run. Second round games will be completed in exactly 30 days, on March 23. If he waits more than 5 days after that then he's asleep at the wheel.

... didn't see the game, was not surprised that we lost. But I checked the box score to see 7 points scored in the 4Q. Seven? Did the Little Dribblers Club play the quarter? A dreadful thought crossed my mind ... are the players intentionally blowing games? This thread is all about a coaching change, but the players bear some responsibility for atrocious play. This entire season is depressing in so many ways.

It seems the players, for the most part, have mailed it in. It's as though they have no confidence in the staff's ability to game plan. The wheels just seem to be flying off one by one.

I have no comment on another disappointing loss, but a question for those who attended the game--was anyone else disappointed that they didn't introduce the returning alumni individually at halftime? It doesn't take that long to have each step forward and be recognized - just cut out the other halftime entertainment.
