Interestingly, I was planning to go but then something weird happened with the online ticket purchase because it wasn't accepting my credit card (the same one I've always used to purchase tickets multiple times this season). So I said screw it and watched from home. The crowd looked tiny on TV and I wasn't exactly sad that I missed such a sorry performance. The halftime interview with Swindell and Page was by far the best moment, and I suppose I would've missed that if I'd gone in person.Musing, while depressed about the state of Texas WBB ... In Austin last night for the only time I will see a game there this year. It was a total downer to see such a small crowd, especially on a night honoring Retha Swindell and Rod Paige. It was surreal to see all the trappings of college sports with such a tiny group of fans, most of them, it appeared, not students, and many of them leaving when it becam clear that there would be no second half rally. And then there was the game ... don"t recall if I have ever seen a Texas team shoot so poorly. I don't know what the problem is - it has to be a combination of coaching, player attitude, lack of focus... We suck.
