Twitter

The shift in attitude on this sort of thing is comical. When they're cancelling people of the Right and banning politically inconvenient stories, they say, "it's a private company and if you want to say what you want, start another company." Now that they are losing control of Twitter, they're whining about how there's no other way to reach large numbers of people.

And of course, some idiots think Musk could destroy Twitter as people go to other "safer" and "healthier" platforms. The fact that we have humans who use that kind of language to describe a social network platform pretty much sums up what's wrong with America.

Trump said he wasn’t going to get back on Twitter, just use his Truth social. I think it would be hard for him to resist.
Looking bigger picture, I see Twitter eventually acquiring Truth Social, which then gives DJT the easy out to going back to Twitter for the broader reach...

This also puts the left in the untenable position of having to admit that Truth Social actually has a sizeable reach, lest their inevitable claims of a monopoly by the merger/acquisition fall flat on their face.

It would be a win/win for Trump, et al.

The responses were hilarious.
I wonder if the non resemblance is deliberate.
So they can rename the statue later as needed?
Economical?

That makes sense. That's the only way that truth social will have any reach. They have done nothing but display that building a strong social network is not easy.

It would have been disingenuous for ANY outlet to reasonably believe that the mere flip of a switch on a new social media source would instantly measure the same rate of users as something that has been around for something like 15 years...

Granted, leftist media is not exactly noted for being reasonable. They mock Truth Social while ignoring that Twitter and FaceBook were not overnight sensations. Nor were Reddit, Tumblr, or any number of other sites now accepted as just part of the #BigTech ecosystem.

It took the libs 20 years to censor the internet. They play the long game.
