or this:

The Germans also laughed at Trump for saying Germany was becoming too energy dependent on Russia. How'd that turn out?

Merkel and Trudeau are not really great examples to support your point. They are/were largely responsible for the mess the world is in right now with Putin. And now Zelensky is hailed for his courage in telling the United Nations that they should either follow their charter or disband. Who else had that idea?

I still get a kick how much the libs love Zelensky now but didn't believe him when he said that Trump wasn't trying to extort Ukraine.

And yet you have people who would prefer $20 gas to President Trump.
The thing is that if Trump had won re-election (and he would have if the election was fair), he would have been mostly ineffectual for 2 years, if not 4. Trump would be done. Now, either Trump or DeSantis will be president in 2024.

Trump would have been plenty effective not issuing executive orders that are killing the country.
I was referring to things that Trump could have enacted (more than he already had) that emotional libs would find distressing, but then again that could be labeled as optimistic.

I know. I should have worded it differently
Certainly not intended to denigrate the validity of your point

Those are the mental's and yes, they are out there in droves.
A. Don't act like gas prices would be significantly different under Trump IF we didn't back Russia in their Ukrainian genocide.
B. Oil states like Texas, Oklahoma, etc. should benefit with steady and fair oil prices.
C. Migrating (over decades) to a world where we don't have to massage our foreign policy due to our reliance on foreign oil should be a bipartisan goal.

Let's stick to the post topic (Twitter) please or we can close the thread.

Create a new thread for the other stuff. Thanks.

When is Twitter going to reinstate all the people they have kicked off? That's the big issue to me. If they don't places like Gab will continue to grow.

I don't think he is "over" twitter at all. This should get interesting.
I suspect that Parag figured out very quickly that Elon was going to continue to be vocal and that he was not a typical BoD seat that you could manage with a pat on the head and the occasional 'that's a good boy...'

I ALSO suspect that Elon wanted to streamlline the staff given some of the other weekend tweets about using the Twitter HQ to house homeless.

Cue the potential hostile take-over involving Musk and Jack...

His ownership % will require him to not be such an ******* to people now. Apparently, he bilked stockholders of about $160,000,000 by not announcing that he was a 5% owner and to continue to buy stock. Very capitalist of him.

I suspect that Musk was told that though he could be on the board, he'd basically be wasting his time because nobody there was receptive to things like free speech and consistently applying the rules.
