Losing at home to Texas A&M Corpus Christi sucks anyway you cut it. Texas is now 3 - 2 heading to Hawaii . Rainbows are 2 - 2 splitting at home with Oregon, it will not be easy in Hawaii

I don't know if we used any of our pitching aces or not but if we did this is alarming. Also I don't know if we played bad or Corpus played good or a combination of the two. Hopefully this will be a wake up call.

No Texas did not use their aces Bill but they did use their bullpen. Bullpen was pretty good but the other guys that seldom pitch did not perform well today.

Ugly mid week loss. You are going to get a few of these over the course of the year but you hate to get one right out of the shoot.

There's a lot of baseball left to play, but the early indication is our bats are going to be very, very meek.

5 games and no homers. Texas is a small ball team big time, walks, steals, bunts, defense and pitching. They do have several doubles and triples though.

I understand that we are a small ball team but I get tired of bunting a leadoff base runner to second almost every time. Why don't we try to steal second more and then bunt them to third. If we don't have people that can hit over or even around .300 then having a runner on second with one out doesn't help most of the time. We just strand them on second or maybe third. If we are going to play small ball we should have speed and we need to use it. I would rather get an out being aggressive than giving one up with a bunt. Can anyone tell me why we don't steal more?

Ugly, but I think the team was looking at some islands other than those from the Gulf Coast. The bags are packed for Hawaii, and they appeared to be looking more in that direction.
It's always hard to get up for these Tuesday games, though. We used four starters over the past weekend, so we went with the committee approach, and it didn't really work.
And the spring break aggies had a good starting pitcher. The win was a big one for them, and it wouldn't have been much for us. The beer was good in the parking lot, one somewhat redeeming result.
