Trouble in Paradise?

And on his typewriter I am sure!

Seeing both A&M and OU having worse years than us at the same time is a rare experience, and it gives me surprising comfort and distraction.

Over on texags, aggy laying claim to being Pubter U. No really. Now that’s something to be proud of. “aggy, the gift that keeps on giving.” That sounds like a great t-shirt idea. Whoop!!

I sure hope we find a way to win in Manhattan next Saturday or our schadenfruede* will be much less satisfying.

The words time capsule come to mind when browsing Texags. They still type things like "whorns" and "fehgs" like an 11-year-old on a 1998 message board. It's like the island in Lord of the Flies but with violent, uninformed idiots instead of children.

I took a bet-loss ban 10 years ago for predicting that our 2012 team would finish with a better record (picked a bad year against Johnny Football) and it's oddly disturbing seeing how there has been zero progress in both the A&M program and the psychological ranks of Texags.

I hear more about their drama through other forms of social media than actually going to Texags. Looch is so, so wrong on all of his football takes.

About to be Rebs 31-21 over aggy.

Seat getting much hotter on ole Jimbo - record 3-5 so far.

aggy owes far too much to buyout Jimbo. Stay tuned...

Watched the Aggie vs Ole Miss game. Wow there were a lot of talented skill players on the field. Jimbo finally started the right quarterback. When the frosh puts it together Aggies be scary good ...unless they decide to blow it all up.

They are likely to not be bowl eligible and they are stuck with Fisher. I predict a wave of departures for that #1 class. Don’t underestimate aggy ability to **** the bed.

Schadenfreude is the experience of pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction that comes from learning of or witnessing the troubles, failures, or humiliation of another. It is a borrowed word from German, with no direct translation, that originated in the 18th century. Schadenfreude has been detected in children as young as 24 months and may be an important social emotion establishing "inequity aversion

What’s the word for when you rejoice in the failings of others only when you are having success? I’d prefer that one.
Shadewithoutfreude
The ags missing a bowl is fun and all but that just happened to us.

Weizmann looked good. With all the talent on hand the Ags may be a nightmare when we play them again
He did play well for his first start. I thought I was having flashbacks watching manziel throw it up for grabs and evans coming down with it at times.
I’m afraid he’s going to be like numerous quarterbacks that aggy has fielded under jimbo. Take a beating, get injured, just to have their fan base complain and ridicule his performance when things continue to go south.
Wasn’t King supposed to be the ‘guy’ to bring them a championship? That is until he got hurt last year. And this far this season, he has taken a beating.
I kind of feel sorry for those kids.

tx,

I first met the kid when he was in the ninth grade and his aunt asked me to go with her to watch him. I've followed his career the entire time and told people he was the real deal but unfortunately comes from an Aggie family and that has been his dream since he could walk. To my memory, the best Aggie QBs in the last 50+ are Mike Mosley, Johnny "he's a turd" Manziel, & Kyler Murray, none of whom won any Dale Carnegie awards from their teammates. Unfortunately, Jimbo won't let anyone else call plays or have a voice in the offense, so the kid is doomed because if he does well, Jimbo will claim the victory, and if Jimbo continues to screw up the offense, he will throw the kid under the bus. Regardless, Mr Wegman will remain a proud Aggie suffering from inferior coaching.

I didn't like Kevin Murray but he was effective

Bucky Richardson was a good qb / field leader

For the record, I don't and won't ever care for any aggy QB. I suspect a few were humble and respectful off field. Don't care.
