Ok I am a dreamer but I think Nebraska could turn it around by leaving the BIG and going to SEC and renewing old rivalries with Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma. (and to a loser extent agie. The Big puts an asterisk after Nebraska every time their talking heads talk. renewed rivalries of the past could renew interest in recruits and possibly help their California pipeline. Like I said dare to dream.

Yeah, they could be Texas' whipping post there as well and then cry about it.

Dodds slayed the Husker dragon by getting the rest of the Big8 schools to agree to eliminate Prop48 players. Without that pipeline of players Osborne no longer had the penal colony of 5* players that made NU a dominant program.

NU will never rise from the ashes as they'll never have anything to offer that a D1 prospect can't get from a better program. The SEC wouldn't change that. NU would just be another Arkansas.
