Top RB Recruit in Texas?

I've never seen the guy, and whoever above said he rushed for 300 yds on 15 carries and 6tds in the first half of a game sounds great.

That youtube however, sucks ***. One TD and a stretch of 4 straight runs were he goes down at the line of scrimmage? The ole' tackle?

He must have much more impressive highlight reels, otherwise I don't understand the high ranking.

I noticed in the Dallas paper today where Justin Johnson was already in school and would be playing RB in the spring. Talk about your quick brain transplants.
Something is really rotten about OU's academic system, or should I say, always has been.

wow you people are disgusting. how do you know jermie is not a character guy? have you ever met jermie? why would you belittle a fellow texan who happens to not be going to your school for no apparent reason. Jermie has done everything right to get into school and will be ready to run all over that porous horns defense again in october. Well I mean at least you guys got D. Scott right?

During the Fall of Jermie's junior year he had not passed any core class required for college. Since then he has used Plato to catch up. Mack was underwhelmed by Calhoun's academic progess and passed on him. Prior, Calhoun only wore burnt orange and was a huge fan of Texas. Now he is all ou.

I hope he never wins a game against us.

the only thing that really matters here is that the guy isn't that good. he looks a big target, slow, doesn't appear to have a great deal of moves, and gets tackled rather easily.
he might make a fine defensive end.

All we can say is Calhoun was more of a risk than some other recruits. He might turn out to be Mother Teresa and Albert Einstein rolled into one, but at the time UT wanted committments, he was considered riskier than others.
He might turn out fine. But Mack Brown is taking less chances due to the recent spate of bad apples who have hurt the program. This is in some ways unfortunate because some guys like Calhoun will turn out great. UT is just not taking as many risky players as they once did, and they have to have all their ducks in a row so much earlier than previously due to the early recruiting committments.
It is a different ballgame.
