Tom Wort - LB

I have a feeling that this guy will wreak havoc against our offense. Congrats to the Sooners.

With his top 4 offers being OU, LSU, USC, and UF (coupled with the fact that, like it was mentioned earlier, NB is ******* 30 to 40 minutes away from austin), i don't see how in the world we let this happen. I'm no talent evaluator, and UT has had some good ones in the past, but i'd think that the 4 previously mentioned schools are pretty good talent evaluators as well. And he's got the best film of any linebacker in the state, period. Sucks OU snagged him.
 
Mack and Boom evaluated him and decided that we didn't want to win and beating OU isn't all what its cracked up to be. Is that what you are suggesting?
 
Remember there are scholarship limits as you all know and you can't get everyone. A good solution that Coach Mack and Staff have done is to get OL who can block him.
 
Yeah but what we've preached on here the past few years is how there has been a lack of talented lbs in the state of Texas over the past couple of years. Yet teams like OU Florida LSU and USC all felt this guy was good enough to extend a scholarship offer, but we didn't

Aren't these the teams a strong nucleus of the teams that are in it every year (and Florida will be like that now that Meyer has got them going), and will be competing for a national championship every year? You'd think that if these guys were competing for Wort that we would. We have guys like Patrick Nkwopara (who i'm not necessarily counting out, but he doesnt exactly have a very impressive offer list), so i wonder what they would see in Wort's film that they wouldnt want him.
 
This kid is a human missle and a difference maker. He is the kind of hitter offensive players are always keeping a wary eye out for or a surprise BOOM M-F. IMO Mack should have found some way to offer this kid - gamble a fall opening due to grades, transfer, something!

Ok OK or OK Ok I got a little excited.

No doubt Nobis was and IS a once in a lifetime player.

But I would still like to see Wort as a Horn!
