Funny thing is, Perry has still not been truly vetted. Had he been a contender, he would have been asked to explain why he personally made it legal to text while driving in Texas. Obviously he was relying on the same cpu he used to expect the US military to be invited back into Iraq. Also, there was international outrage when he vetoed legislation to exempt the mentally retarded from execution, putting us in line with the world's most barbaric countries. Then there is the problems he has that every official he appoints has to be a big time campaign donor and the pressure he exerts on public policy to the benefit of his big time contributors. If he had been a contender he would have been called on to answer for for arrogance, corruption and not being especially bright. As it was, footage of Perry debate performance was all the negativity needed to scuttle his candidacy.
