I don't see any NBC on my TV...only the Starz Family and Kids channel.

They are not back they are just showing movies. Trying to get a refund out of Time Warner is a waste of your time. Just calling them for anything is usually a waste of your time. When you finally talk to somebody out of a refund and agree you usually see on your next bill a few bucks of a refund like a joke.

KXAN is not back, TW is just throwing STARZ in for free (unless you already pay for it) where KXAN used to be. I'm pissed that I'm gonna have to watch The Office online.

Last season the writer's strike ****** with my Office, this year its KXAN.

There's nothing else I watch on that station, but I'm pissed about The Office.

I switched to U-verse the other day and will get it on Monday. For everyone else like me who watches the Thursday night lineup on NBC just go to wal mart and buy a $10 set of bunny ears. It's better than watching it on the internet the next day.

Ha, I thought you were going to suggest people go to Wal-Mart and pretend to shop for tv's while watching the shows there.

My HDTV is 4-5 years old and doesn't have a built-in tuner. How can I get NBC in HD? Is there an antenna IN jack on the TWC tuner that I can process the signal with? Am I hosed here?

my hdtv is like 2-3 yrs old. if it has a built in tuner, I don't need to get rabbit ears? I've never used that option in the tv so I don't have a clue.

If your HDTV does not have a built in digital tuner, then you are probably out of luck as far as getting KXAN in HDTV* (exept as noted below). The TWC HDTV reciever I have (SA 3250HD) is only set up to tune cable, as far as I know it will not work with an antenna. Maybe some of TWC's newer gear might have an antenna input, but I doubt it, since they are a cable company.

*Now, one option you would have, is to buy an external HDTV tuner, which is basically similar to your cable box except you connect it to an antenna and it will tune over-the-air HDTV signals and send the decoded HDTV video to your TV using component or HDMI cables. But this solution is going to cost, I dunno, maybe a hundred bucks, I haven't priced HDTV recievers lately.

If you could live with KXAN in standard def, and you have a working VCR lying around, you could probably hook up an antenna to your VCR and use the VCR to tune KXAN. Picture quality will probably going to look like crap though (analog OTA SD).

Ballrific, even if your HDTV has a built-in digital tuner, you still need an antenna (rabbit ears etc) to pick up over-the-air signals like KXAN.

However, your TV's built-in tuner may be able to tune some *cable* HDTV channels directly, depending on your TV and your cable companty. But since KXAN is no longer on cable, that doesn't really help...

i can watch the office on my phone... for free.
that ******* rocks!!!!!
