Thread to discuss teams and games not involving Texas in 2021-2022

Kansas lost at home to Iowa State; OU wins at TCU. So, we are now tied with KU and OU for third place.

We finish with TCU, @Kansas, and OSU. We have to win out to secure third place.

OU finishes with KSU, @OSU, and Kansas. I really don't seem them losing one of those games; but, then again, they did lose at home to Tech last week.

KU finishes @Baylor, Texas, and @OU. As long as they don't beat us, I would love it if they won those two road games.

Tonight is Gary Blair's last home game as Texas A&M hosts South Carolina on SECN at 7:30 PM Central. Anyone think Vic will be there? Not sure if there are any kind of celebrations before/after the game taking place in which former coaches/players were invited.

I doubt he has time. I’m sure he will if he can but I also wonder if Aggy fans have forgiven him for taking the UT job. Not to mention beating them at home this year. What a lousy final home game for Blair… unless he pulls off a miraculous win.

Just curious, but does anyone know if Vic’s daughter Blair is named for Gary Blair or is that just a coincidence?

I am watching Duke vs. Boston College
Duke losing by 16 points in the 1st half. I still wondered what made Celeste Taylor leave. Vic had her playing so well. That's crazy.

She was. Heard them say that during one of the games this year.

Some upsets the last few nights:

- Oregon lost at Colorado; most likely knocks them out of Top 16 seed consideration for good

- Florida lost at Vanderbilt; most likely knocks them out of Top 16 seed consideration for good

- Arizona upset at home by UCLA, 64-46; that should push them below us in Top 16 rankings, IMO

Creme just updated his projected bracket and Duke has been moved down to the group of First Four Out. (He’s moved Texas up to a #2 seed btw.) I know, I know, I’m not posting this info for comments yay or nay on Crème’s opinion it’s just information people.

THE REMATCH

Kansas State at OU today at 4 PM Central on Bally Sports.

Can Ayoka Lee come close to matching her 61 point scoring outburst against OU in Manhattan? I watched that game, and I still don't know how OU couldn't come close to slowing down Lee.

Today, I think OU will just get ahead too quickly and as long as their 3-point shots are failing, they'll kill KSU (who has not played well on the road at all this season).

I'd love for KSU to win, though, as that would knock OU out of a 3rd place tie with us and KU.

Baylor beats KU 85-77.

I guess that helps us move ahead of KU for 3rd place. Wish KSU could have won that game at OU today.

Watched some of the Iowa Michigan game yesterday. Catilin Clark was absolutely unconscious going 8-11 from 3 point land, and many of those were 5 feet behind the arc.

Oof…I thought teams had to have a minimum 6-8 players to even play a game much less try to go through a tournament over a few days.
