Thoughts After UConn/UT game

I had heard from a friend of the Gordon family that Alexis Gordon, who came from Ft. Worth L. D. Bell HS, was not Happy at UConn. There was no mention that she might leave the program. She has gotten only 34 minutes (3.1 min/game) of playing time so far this season. She ranks 11th of 12 players on the roster for playing time.
Wouldn't be surprised to see her back at TCU next year.

I've followed her Father on Twitter, and he has been Re-Tweeting/Liking a lot of TCU WBB's tweets lately. I agree with you, that if she transfers she will probably go to TCU.

Geez, that's bad. I disagree with his denigrating comments of student athletes under his care. But being so upset about a player decommitting or leaving the program is not right. Sometimes, it takes some time to realize that a mistake was made on one side or both and it's time to gracefully part ways.

An 18 or 19 year old changing their mind or simply realizing they are not happy with the choice they made? How unusual :rolleyes1: They are student athletes and as the commercial says: most of them will be go pro in something other than athletics. Geno needs to get over himself.

Geno's remarks are more than shocking. He makes it sound like it was totally his decision to basically kick Andra off the team. I thought an athletic scholarship would be a binding contract. Or maybe he just pressured her and made life so miserable that she more or less had to go. Surely there are rules about this sort of thing. And I would hope rules about a coach's freedom to bad mouth players. His comments are likely to very directly harm her basketball future. Why would he want to do that? It is both vicious and self-centered. I'm beginning to see him as both an egomaniac and very immature. I guess when you've been worshiped by so many for so long ....
