He played all his SO year at OG and FWIW Crabtree states he sees him there in college.
Also, i think we take 4 OL if MW wants to come here too. Glad to know that he will be coming to campus soon.
This commit does not surprise me at all. Word at Cedar Hill has been that he was Texas' to lose the whole time. Mack was in for a visit a few weeks ago, and Stoops came in after that.
This kid is a true stud on the field and of great character off.
Whoever said that it was good to see a pipeline to Cedar Hill established was right on. Our coaching staff does things the right way and is producing fast, physical, and smart football players.
Here's to Mack starting the 2009 campaign off with a huge bang!
Centers have to be the smartest of the bunch. It's a lot more than just hiking, although the shotgun snap is a required skill. They make all the line calls. They have to have good communication with the QB, and be just on top of the game that a QB does. For instance, a good center will notice a DLman jump off sides, and snap the ball automatically for the easy 5 yards.
Mack talked a little about cross training some of the players to different positions, we had to do that largely because some of the OTs recruited a few years ago didn't stick around. OT is a bigger need for us and we have some good one's here.
