Who gives a damn about what a Syrian kid thinks about American college football recruiting?

I might be interested in hearing him explain how his country got occupied by the French--the French, for God's sake--from 1920-1944 and how the Israelis whipped their *** in record time during the Six Day War.

I just saw on ESPN (the recognized Sports Leader of the World) that the Horns class ranked 10th only 2 spots behind the suckass Land Thieves...that can't be all bad!

Hook'em!!!

the thread starter can speak his mind.. but Texas already has a lot of great players, and just got a bunch more.

Oh, so Mack should have duped the kid by bringing him to Texas and then moved Rucker from the RB coach position??? That's a much better idea

Why don't you just let Mack do the recruiting...

Just for the record, the projected number one pick in the NFL draft this year was a three star quarterback recruit that was passed over by a lot of schools. I have only one comment to make on your post...

. Now go away.

In my humble opinion, it's quantity over quality. It's more important how many 4 and 5 star recruits that you get, then whether they are ranked #1 or #150.

Not all 4 and 5 star kids turn out to be all-world in the college ranks. But some percentage of them will. Just get as many as you can - to increase your odds.

To be fair, even by my measure, UT didn't have a Top 10 recruiting class with 12 recruits either 4 or 5 star. But, it's not as stark a difference as 0 vs. 5.

I should also say that the size of your overall recruiting class can affect the metric. This year, UT had only 20 scholarships to give and they got 12 4 to 5 stars. That's 60% which ranks 9th in class quality.

Edorian McCullough, and Brian Pickryl. What a total waste that neither of these guys panned out. I know Pickryl was plagued by injuries....Edorian, no clue what was up with him. Michael Haywood said Edorian was the fastest person he had ever seen.

The conversation should begin and end with apricot preserves...who cares if they're clumpy...they're delicious....orange marmalade is ok too, so I guess the conversation doesn't have to end.

Certainly the only information of note on this thread is about jelly, and orange marmalade is worth recruiting any day. Someone tell Mack, maybe in a Kirk Bohls column.
