IIRC A program started under Bush allocated thousands of housing vouchers for homeless vets each year.
Plus Bush also started a program to end chronic homelessness for all /The Link
Good of BO to continue what President Bush started.
 
As a Vietnam vet, I know which party supports the troops and which has tradionally despised us. Anything BO does for us is purely political.
 
I don't give a **** if it is all political or for jokes and laughs as long as Vet's get better treatment and support than they have in the past. I don't care if it is an R or D that does it as long as improvements come and keep on coming. I don't give a damn about what conflict we are in currently because it has nothing to do with the support level of vet's from the past.

I hope it continues regardless of who is on office and I commend BO's initiative and ability to get results on this issue. To not support the action, regardless of who did it, means you don't support vet's and their treatment and shame on you.

In fact, **** you. Let the politics go, just for once, if a greater good is performed. For ****'s sake.

Good for anyone who helps our homeless veterans or veterans in general. We don't have a good record of taking care of those who served.
 
This administration has done much more for the Troops than the previous. That simply cannot be debated. Yes, there are still issues.

What is lacking is support from the American public, specifically in donations to charitable organizations and in hiring practices. We simply aren't invested and aware of the wars today like we used to be.
 
How about just "good for the President" versus some slam against the previous? I think you will find all Presidents do their best to help the military.

What our gov't did to those are you exposed to Agent orange is so heinous words can't express.

and then waht we did to the VA which cripples the ability to serve those like you adequately is almost as heinous.

Once we opened up medical care to ahyone who served for any lenght of time but did not increase resources we forced our combat vets to slow and many times inadequate care.

yes people who didn't serve in combat do pay more, still really small amounts and yes they have to wait longer than combat vets but they still get treated which adds to the time it takes for you and all others coming back from iraq etc to get treatment .
Yes that guy should receive treatment and he did but that operation that doc did on him meant that someone else didn't get the operation they might have needed that day.

I think in most cases the VA does absolutely the best it can under very difficult and crowed circumstances.
I think vets what Bush did while in office and what he continues to do now.

I think most Pres try to see our country takes care of its Vets, as we should and am glad to see Obama doing it as well.

And in more important news, if you recall you had asked about the Old School burger bus awhile back. They now have two brick and mortar locations, one downtown. So if you are in town and want to take your kid there, it's easy. Their food is outstanding and I think you will enjoy it.

I do point out mistakes lies and errors in policies I think BO makes, for instance i posted on BO ignoring wishes of Congress and giving millions to someone Congress specifically mentioned to NOT get our hard earned money

I pointed out BO's campaign called our private citizens who gave money to BO's opponent. Most would think THAT was petty of BO and his minions except he has already called people who don't support him bitter and the enemy and told his supporters to bring a gun. many woulkd call that petty

I pointed out an regional director of an agency under BO stated his philosophy was to crucify oil and gas companies. Then i pointed our the EPA did go after companies in this directors region , hounding them for over a year but then dropped the case. Many would call that petty.
i pointed out that over 63 US reps have questioned the hounding of tea party groups by the IRS . imany would call that petty.

You can think the use of his initials is petty but that is how we have referred to Pres since JFK ( remember dubya?)and many on here objected to the use of his middle name and inntial as attempting to prortay him as a muslim so in the interests of not being accused of trying to intimate he is a muslim i don't use the H

if you still - after all the information we now have about the "justifications" for going over there - want to believe it was done out of revenge, maybe we should have invaded Saudi Arabia and kicked some of Dubya's huggin' buddies instead.
