Things that don't make sense in movies

SubliminalHorn, "future crime" also detects murders which aren't premeditated... for example the one at the begining of the film where the guy catches his wife in bed with another dude. That too was a crime of passion and of the moment. That said, Cruise's "murder" was premeditated, just not by him. The Precogs just showed the crime as it was to be.

What about all the neo-Nazi/Eastern European/Russian terrorists Hollywood summons up to be the bad guy in any terrorist-themed movie. For God's Sake, didn't they even change the terrorists from Muslim to Russian in the latest Jack Ryan movie? (The one with Ben Affleck.)

Here's one for ya...In lots of movies, 28 Weeks Later, for example, someone will have trouble starting a car. The starter turns over and over and over with ease, but the engine won't start. Then someone gets the bright idea to get out and pushstart the car...and it works!

Always happens in the movies.......The victim finally meets of with the sorry bastard who has tormented her for the entire movie. She has a gun ...he does not,. Instead of just blowing him away immediately, she has a 20 minute conversation with him to determine why he is a pr--k. Of course he grabs the gun from her and the movie continues...........

I also love how guys fighting in movies can take multiple (sometimes dozens) full-on punches to the face/jaw/temple, w/ bare fists, be slightly dazed and still strong fighters....********.

I also love how guys hitting someone w/ bare fists muliple times in the head, never seem to break their hands.

wizrds tournament -- from the outside it can't be understood; from the inside it can't be explained

Another one, mostly seen in westerns.

Pistols that seem to never run out of ammunition. Revolvers that fire 8, 10 and 12 time before someone runs out of ammo. Unless, of course, a dramatic moment is needed, then suddenly "click".

I like the ones also when the automatic finally does run out of ammo, and you see it there, with the slide in the locked back position, yet you hear "click, click" as the guy keeps trying to fire the weapon (wouldn't the slide staying back be a clue?)...

don't get me started on the terminator series. ok, you've got me started.

how can john connor send kyle whatever to protect his mom when kyle whatever is his dad? how was he born in the first place to be alive to send his dad back to conceive him?

how can skynet be built because of the pieces of the terminator that were found? how did they originally design skynet without the T1 parts so that the machines could send the T1 back in time to kill sarah connor?

aside from those paradoxes, why did they only send one cyborg at a time back? why not send an army and take care of it? or send one back to kill sarah's mom way back in the 50s or whenever when success was much more likely due to more primitive technology? or even farther back in the connor bloodline?

why does a cyborg that's from the US and going back in time to the US have an eastern european accent?

in jaws: the revenge (if anyone other than me has seen it) they put something in the shark's mouth that makes it stick its head above the water and roar. WTF? since when do sharks have the physiology or ability to do that, and why did the story need it?

What about the bad guys who can't hit the broad side of a broad with an Uzi - yet, the hero takes out 15 bad guys with 15 shots.

More Varsity Blues: this may just be laziness, but how many assistant coaches were there? They're gonna let Paul Walker coach? And no way he turns down ice cream sundae, ok, maybe that part.

Not worth mentioning, but those kid-centric baseball movies are beyond ridiculous.

That Kevin Bacon movie. No way that white kid was a 5 star power forward prospect.

yeah that scariest police chase holicopter "voice" is a total voiceover. Otherwise how do you explain having the same guy following EVERY police department in Cali with his never-run-out-of-gas helicopter.

We are at Code 4....
