The Yeti Zone in LF

That thing is sweet! My brother and I stopped by on our way in to our seats. I just stuck my head in, and the lady at the gate said, "Y'all come on in." I said, "But I'm carrying a beer." She said, "Come on in anyway!" So we did. Really neat perspective at field level and they have a bar at each end. It wasn't very crowded but I bet it will be once word gets out. It was really cool to see all the folks there jumping up and down when Flores' HR landed in it.

Yes, they went nuts when the ball fell in!

So anyone can walk into the Yeti Yard?

Yes. On Friday most people were standing or sitting on the ground (it's astroturfed) but on Sunday most folks had brought chairs, so that is OK too.

Yetiville is free to get in. You don't need a ticket. Capacity is 140.
I talked to the guy at the gait Sunday and he said the most they had this weekend was 127. He said it was averaging around 60 people.
You can bring your on food and drink in or they have it for sale inside. You can't bring a cooler or chairs in,they furnish those for you. Clear bags are ok.

They actually added a fan-friendly venue in left center field that doesn't require a ticket, or a big donation, or your first-born child? Something about this does not compute

So you can bring chairs or you can't? And you can bring in beer (hopefully more than one)?
You can’t bring your own chairs in or coolers. They have yeti branded products for you to use .
You can bring in as much alcohol or anything else you want to bring. If you use a bag it has to be clear.

It'll be ok until it starts heating up, then that place will cook during the earlier starts. Which is why you'll always find me sitting up in sec. 103 with my cold Love Street.

Wow, just wait for the high demand conference games. They'll be camping out for these 140 free spots. I wonder if there are bathrooms out there and if you have to leave do you lose your place?

Stark contrast to the Patterson days when he was trying to ban the occupy left field people because they could watch the games without paying. Seems like I remember he put up some big barrier so they couldn't see the field.....now we have an AD dedicating a space free to fans. This is awesome!!

They took down the screening in front of the Occupy Left Field folks as well so they only have an iron fence to look thru.
