The problem.

We don't owe Herman $15 million. is owed three years, Park his *** in one of those small Bellmont offices from 8-5, Monday thru Friday through the end of the contract. No secretary, no phone, no computer. Contract calls for two cars (those are donated). He is not allowed in Neuhaus Royal.
This is exactly what I would do if I had the power.

This program cannot be healed until the elephant in the room is addressed, The Eyes. Wins won’t fix it IMHO. Folks are pissed. Life long supporters are walking away. More than a few are pulling against Texas. Herman betrayed Longhorn Nation. It’s a very sick deal.

Until Herman is removed and The Eyes is reinstated — and mandatory for the players to at least be present and show respect, this will not get fixed and we will not have a pipe dream of a chance to return the program to greatness.

I fear the toothpaste is out of the tube on "the eyes".

I'm not happy with our performances this season although I think some leeway is warranted due to 2020 issues, mainly covid. The same list of contenders will be winning a title again this season. The Tech game told me all I needed to know where we are, so I knew we weren't on that list. I'm ok with giving Herman more time unless somebody like Saban, Urban, or Dabo were next. Aside from a lot of penalties and many small issues here and there, our main problem are the trenches on both sides of the ball. Not being able to run the ball is killing us. Hopefully we can win out and salvage the season.
Thanks, I always thought it was leadway, learned something new on Hornfans.

Duke wow
He was right but MAN I hate having it be so national

I also wonder why since Herman pandered to the players, why did he lose them?

Players now know that Herman has people he answers to, and they have met those people and heard 'the word" from them. They realize that Herman watered down the first message. He has long since lost the locker room, but now he has no chance of regaining them. The play has been made; next move is from the puppeteers not the puppets.

Public displays and embarrassments to try to get Hartzel to cave.

The administration has given, given, given, now it's time for the puppets to learn about negotiations. give and take, compromise. They have taken and given nothing back, although a couple really played hard Saturday.

I share this take, and expressed it in an email to CDC today...as if he will ever see it.

Herman may be an IQ genius but we have all known high IQ people that lacked common sense and judgment. Herman fits into this category. I am convinced that he also lacks maturity. The stand he took in the summer — the “but will we let them date our daughters?” opinion — came from someone who failed to analyze the entirety of the situation. As a result, TH is a dead man walking.

The longer CDC/Hartzell delay addressing the obvious, the greater the damage. When the cancer has been identified, any additional delays will only be detrimental for the patient, in this case the Texas Football Program.

I don’t hate TH but I have grown to really dislike him.

.as if he will ever see it.

He sees them and responds as quickly as possible. (Voice of experience)

Right now, he has been "promoted to general" by his "commander in chief". They appeared and delivered a unified message.

As for cutting bait, there are multiple negotiations that have to happen. IF the new coach knows Ash & Yurich, will he accept them? (I believe both are on three year guaranteed deals) When does he take over? (before or after early signing period) When to announce? (recruits you can save vs thefts vs those undecided)

Lots of moving parts, not without some saboteurs along the route. I trust Chris (and now Jay) to get it worked out and get this program back on the road.

I personally think Chris' handling of the season ticket situation this year was the best of any major program in the country.

@SabreHorn Got a lot of respect for your opinions even though I may not always agree and I think your takes here are spot on. I think I know the answer but in your mind have CDC and Hartzell already made the decision on TH?

SH, my uninformed opinion would be to remove TH immediately and put him in an office (as you have suggested), but then elevate Yurcich to interim coach. Meanwhile, Texas could be working the options behind the scenes. If Yurcich gets it together by the end of the season, “perhaps” that would provide more options, including keeping he and Ash for 2021.

He lost them because he is not a leader. If they respected or feared him, none of this crap would happen. As I have mentioned on another thread, you think the players at Alabama told Nick what to do. He would have said, I hope your next school will be happy to help you enroll. Thats the difference. Just like Reagan said back in the 80's, when the adults started letting the kids decide which rules they would follow then its game over! I have been a longhorn fan more than 50 years and as I told CDC after the debacle on saturday watching basically only Sam stand and sing, I will not wear the burnt orange any longer until this crap is resolved. I know I am not the only one but as you see this week CDC said they will stand together and sing. I presume the big cigars said enough. Again, CDC should have said this back in the spring to give the players enough time to pack and transfer. In the immortal words of governor good hair, adios mofo.

I've been debating someone about whether the 2-2 record is reflective of the civil rights efforts being made by the players. Do we believe the team's performance has been impaired?

When I hear players being lazy on the field I have no doubt it relates to this social justice mess. When I also hear ineffective mensa boy say he's asked players to do things over and over yet they won't do it, I know he's still a mental midget leader. And yes I said midget. Dion is on vacation.
