Whats everyone's opinion of it so far today?

It sucks not having Tiger in the mix but there is plenty of good golf being played. Norman being in contention, albeit early contention, is really fun to watch.

I am pulling for Rocco in this one.

He's the man. I don't want his one claim to fame is that he almost beat a gimpy Tiger. He seems like a good guy... that would wash your car.

I am pulling for Rocco too. It does take a lot of excitement out with Tiger hurt, but it is still fun to watch.

That weather was BRUTAL today.

Go Rocco! Didn't know much about this guy before the US Open. Now I am rooting for him.

I don't know about calling the British Open...THE OPEN. Outside the UK it is called the British Open most commonly and we are outside the UK. The US Open is actually much more open anyways. It has been since 1969 when the last Englishman won there anyways. I guess as long as US golfers dominate there they can call it whatever they want to.

I would love to see Norman win it, but if he can't I'm pulling for Rocco too. It looks just nasty over there.

David Duval - That is a name that you haven't seen near the top of the leaderboard in a LONG time. Glad he is playing well. Hope he keeps it up!

What about the Columbian dude shooting a 65?

Ay Caramba! Que Bueno! Una sesenta y cinco es increible! Pero bueno...

I'm still pulling for Rocco. But Greg Norman, the Columbian, or David Duval would also be a good story from my point of view.

the wind is so bad today that it's hard to watch. i'd probably shoot a 180 out there today if they didn't kick me off of the course first.

also, major props to greg norman for both leading the open by 2 with a couple left to play in round 3, and for finishing his round and going home with chris evert. the man leads a good life as far as i can tell. too bad he doesn't make a better wine.

It will be interesting to see how Greg handles this lead after the '96 Masters.
He has always been one of my favs and that Sunday it was hard to watch it unfold. Hope it doesn't happen again.

Isn't this interesting! They're actually having an exciting tournament without Tigger...

And it appears that it should be an exciting finish tomorrow. If someone within 3 or 4 strokes could actually break par tomorrow, it could be a winner.

Not exciting to me. I am working all weekend long and haven't been able to watch any as of yet.

That being said I just checked the leaderboard today and see that Norman is leading at +2 with a 2 shot lead. That doesn't excite me, but it does intrigue me. It is very interesting. One thing it made me think was man I wish Tiger was battling Norman in a major what an event that would be.

Either way though Norman winning a major at his age is a huge story.

Other than Norman I would like to see Choi win. Guy is a great player and I have been waiting to see him take that next step.

I read the other day that Norman hasn't even practiced in the last month and a half due to the wedding to Chris Evert. He thought he'd spend the last week of the honeymoon playing the British Open.

Unbelievable finish by Padraig! What a way to finish off back to back British Opens!!

I can't say today was all that much fun to watch considering bogey was a good score, but it was intriguing and I really enjoyed it.
