I like your burnt orange monkey shirt. And though you suck at bracketology, you are a very good speller for a five year old.

TigerBandMan-- You look awfully cute in that picture, aside from the fact that your dad is making you do the horns-down sign.

I always get a kick out of people who try to predict the College World Series based on batting averages or home run totals or stolen base percentages or whatever other stats they can come up with, particularly offensive stats.

The fact of the matter is that great pitching and great defense are more important in Omaha than offense. Any team can get hot at the plate in Omaha, but no team suddenly develops a great pitching staff or a great defense in Omaha.

There are other teams in the field who have very good pitching staffs, but nobody has the depth that Texas does, and depth is what gets you through 10 days of baseball up there, particularly if you lose a game and won't have 2 days off to reset your pitching rotation.

If the Texas offense plays like it did in the first two games of the regional (against Army and BC), it will be very difficult to beat the teams who made it to Omaha. But if they play like they did in the first game of the super regional against TCU, they can beat anyone.

We know Texas has what it takes to win this tournament. It's a question of how consistent they can be. But that is true about all 8 teams. If any team has a bad outing in their first or second game, they are likely finished. Four teams are going to be on the ropes after their very first game, and you have no idea which four it's going to be.

As for being overrated, Texas did what they were supposed to do, which was get to Omaha. A national seed hasn't won the CWS in the past 5 years, and it's been nearly a decade since the #1 overall seed won, so I guess all those teams were overrated too, huh?

Why is it that LSU fans (and SEC fans in general) are so dense about this stuff?

Wait. So a fan of the 90's steroid-ridden LSU ******* tells us that we aren't the gold standard of Omaha?

Better hitting through chemistry, right ***** band man?

PFD-- I really like the many LSU fans I've met in real life, especially their baseball fans. I think the Internet tends to skew our view of others sometimes.

As for the original post-- yes, it is quite clear that Texas has no chance in Omaha.

Man Texas sure has been put in their place this post season. Our small ball tactics just cannot seem to put runs on the board.

ttt

Yup, the Horns have really been exposed in Omaha.

Hey Tigger BM where are you?? Whether we win or lose against LSU there's no disputing we belong here. According to you if you were wrong about us not belonging and being outclassed you'd be back. The accomplishments to date have already proven you wrong.

They say you're only as good as your last performance. Our last performance is two long balls out of the park to end the game.

LOL @ TBM thinking he ever had any crediability on here.

Small ball = softball tactics??? Doesnt seem to know or play much softball either.

I ordinarily like LSU fans alright and like LSUs teams. But I did see a fair amount of asshattery at the 2003 Cotton Bowl. Thank God for good Roy, or it woulda been worse.
