The Hate from the left is sick.

I took down a neighbors OSU flag and put up an OU flag for bedlam a few years ago under the cover of darkness. Is that "despicable"? He thought it was funny and actually gave me my flag back.
 
They went to jail? Don't we have better things to jail people for? It's a misdemeanor and a civil matter to repair damage, right? But Jail? Talk about despicable.

The whole "go find evidence contrary to my beliefs for me to condemn" act is right out of the holier-than-thou playbook. The Guardian used to update the "acts of violence due to Trump" page every month, but they've stopped since August because the authors who started it have moved on to other jobs.

The DESPICABLE act from the OP was two idiots who use a ladder and giggle while tearing down a Trump flag, with the dad placing down the baby in a diaper, and the mom ignored the "pleas" of the older kid not to do it because he knew what they were doing was wrong. It was a fraternity prank, and not a good one at that. Comparing it to beheadings, rapists, etc. is way over the top.

I'll readily condemn what these people did. They were wrong to take down the flag, and they set a terrible example for their children. They're idiots.

However, let's not get righteous and pretend this is unique to the Left. Dumbasses on the Right steal and vandalize Left wing campaign materials all the time. Do I have a link to a story about it? No, because 99 percent of the time they don't get caught. However, I've personally seen it done probably ten times. Idiots are gonna idiot.

You have to charge them because they got caught. If you don't, it sets the example that this is ok, and even if it isn't a big deal, it's not ok.

And bear in mind that a dude who stole and burned a gay pride flag was charged with a felony and got about 15 years in the slammer. I don't remember if you had a problem with that or not.

Huffington Post, in which parents assaulted a taxi driver in front of their kids for being an immigrant while witnesses heard them yelling "MAGA" and "Trump," what would your first reaction be? I assume from your posting style that it would be an indictment of all Trump supporters, digging down into the roots of their violent ways.

I've never processed that through my brain and certainly never posted about it. It just seems to muck up a crowded system arresting people for misdemeanors like this.
 
I googled your fact set. This was a 3rd strike felony. I could certainly argue that burning any flag should not be a felony but the length of time is related to mandatory sentencing laws and not any flag related deeds. A. Don't commit felonies. B. If you've been convicted of 2 felonies in a 3 strike state, mind your dang P's and Q's.

I admire 6721's dogged pursuit of the liberal left. Like a tracking dog on prisoner's trail.

I'm aware of all of that. However, the point is that many looked at it and thought it wasn't a big deal. After all, on the surface, what he did wasn't particularly damaging. And of course, they didn't have to charge him with a felony. A prosecutor singled him out and chose to throw the book at him. Well, it looks like they're doing the same thing with Doctor Dumbass.

One of them started with a lede, and the other started with an adjective that they (and you, as the outraged party) gifted to basically half the people in this country.

It happened in Florida and it's a lead story in the Washington Examiner? The parents were wrong... but if i were looking for injustices to write up, I could find a couple of better ones just down the street. Hating and being constantly offended is a big, bipartisan problem in this country and getting ourselves in an emotionally tizzy over stupid but basically harmless actions 2 days drive from here is an incredible waste of energy. For our own peace of mind let's all choose to ignore this trivial ******** and look at REAL injustice ... wives beaten, people being sexually victimized at church or within families, frail elderly in homes where no one checks up on them...

If you think the problem is with ME when you read that headline, and not the rage it obviously drives from Limbaugh listeners, Blaze readers, OANN viewers, and the like, then the Examiner obviously did a good job. By throwing in their own link to MATT GAETZ and how he feels about these idiots, it's a page out of their textbook for operations.

Yeah, those doctors are dumb. I don't mind the arrest, but it's doubtful they actually caused $700 of damages. I've given my counter-examples already, and I'm sure the "Ignore" button would get put to good use if anyone came on this board and started a post with "The ___ from the right is ____."

It takes money to maintain health. It takes more than that true, but these people are such simpletons. Binary thinking is becoming a bigger issue in my mind. People can't or won't think critically and understand complexity.

Personally I like new sources that make me feel smarter and better informed. If I find myself angry... well that's probably what the presenter intended and I guard myself against such manipulation in the future. I can assure you that the left abounds with people who have good intentions and solid reasoning skills. The same is true for conservatives.
