I've been on this Earth 23 years. In those 23 years, that is the greatest game I've ever seen. Only 71 NU/OU comes close.

The lead sports editor in the Knoxville News Sentinel said the same thing. He also said that 2 of the greatest 5 college football players of all-time (Young, Bush) played head-to-head.

I don't need redemption, but it's still cool when those that have absolutely no ties to UT or USC say the same thing.

Hands down the Greatest Football Game ever played. Man, reading that was almost as good as watching it. Wow. My kids will be reading that one day if it stays up.

Another amazing thing about that game was the lack of penalties. There just weren't very many of them. Three TO's and two of the most talented teams in college football history.

I think it was a damn good game and I enjoyed it immensely. I wouldn't rank it as the best game ever or even in the top five in my life.

The Game of the Century was probably the best game ever IMHO. If not certainly the best in the last 45 years.

1983 Nebraska Miami was also on this level.

For the 2006 Rose, I think UT should have won by a lot more given the good but not great USC defense. I don't understand how UT could have been down by 10+ when UT was up but 7+.

Honestly, I thought the 2005 Rose was more exciting as were other college bowl games, but this one was a title game so we are obligated to rank it higher.
