The Great, HUUGGGEEE ICE Deportation Raids of 2019

Guys, I've seen the numbers. Border crossings are on the decrease overall including now. However, detention numbers have risen in recent years because Trump changed the US executive immigration policy. So now a higher % of those crossing are being detained. That has led to problems for ICE and the resources they have.

What it that immigration policy that Trump changed? You might ask. He has decided to actually enforce the law. Obama didn't. With the way the laws are written there simply aren't the right amount of resources at the border to process, detain, and control the situation. This isn't Trump's fault. He is being faithful in his duty.

The problem is that Congress hasn't responded by signing new law and budgeting to help the situation. They have sat and done nothing. Cruz has tried. Now there is a Republican led bill trying to increase border security resources.

However, this too much of a rich source of politics for the Democrats. If they vote for improving border resources they can't call Trump a racist anymore. They can't take pictures at the border with tears on their face. It is complete Team Blue vs Team Red tactics. It's cynical. But it's true.

"I was real scared about what was going on, neighbor Felishadae Young said. “It put a lot of fear in me, because it could be me. It could be my family. It could be anybody. "

LOL, this is how stupid Americans are. No Felishadae, it couldn't be anybody and unless you and your family are here illegally then not you either. If you are here illegally then good luck with the next round of ICE deportations.

Here is what an unsecured border means for Texas:

  • More than 200,000 illegal aliens
  • More than 313,000 criminal offenses
  • 567 arrests on homicide charges
These are the official counts from the Texas Department of Public Safety between June 1, 2011, and June 30, 2019.

Long
Are you ok with an illegal who has a court order to be deported being protected against the court ordered deportation?
Would you be ok with an American citizen found guilty and sentenced to prison being protected from going to prison by other citizens?

A few hours after a Washington judge let Trump's order denying Central American immigrants asylum if they haven't applied for and been turned down by the first country they enter stand, Obama-appointed SF judge Jon Tigar, who has blocked other Trump orders, ruled against it. Somehow Tigar's ruling has precedence over the Washington judge's ruling. So, the migrant train continues.

Monahorns, you summarized the situation perfectly. And just think - back in the dinosaur days, when I was a schoolboy, we were taught in American Government class that the primary purpose of the Executive Branch was to see that the laws of the U.S. are enforced. Guess Trump must have had similar classes.
