The French: Armstrong Violated Doping Rules

Yes, that's called "blood doping," but you are allowed to sleep in an oxygen tent, until your red blood cell level reaches some percentage of the total. A few people might have more than that naturally, but I think they make a few exceptions if they really believe this to be true. Lance sleeps in the oxygen tent to increase this level, so how much benefit would adding some of his own blood give him, and I think they are able to detect this now, although not so in the past.

I've never seen an athlete on Earth that can convert health problems and controversy into focusness quite like Lance. It drives him. With that said how could any human succeed given he is a 37 year old competing in arguably one of the toughest events in the world with broken bones and this? I guess we'll see when it's show time.

So you're saying Landis wasn't one of his teammates at one point? Or from other people, like Swart and McIlwain, who said that he used? Must be jealousy, right?

Good gosh... this is like saying that Kwame Cavil smoked weed for the first time ever the day before the Cotton Bowl.

So the guys who got caught "after they were his teammates" had nothing to do with substances while they were competing with him. Even if you buy that, it's still beyond fishy.

I know the French have it out for him (like the whole buying makeup to cover up his needle marks), and that stuff is pretty "National Enquirer" stupid. But to ignore any questions about the issue altogether, especially going back to the 90s when the testing wasn't as rigorous as today, is ignorant.

WhiteH20 spelled it out pretty clear if one reads the post. And given the number of riders that test positive, I am surprised by how few Lance has been associated with. That they were clean and never dirty per test while riding with Lance says a lot. It also shows how desperate they were to get the attention that when they went on their own they stopped at nothing and got busted for it. They were naked without the shadow of Lance, it seems.

Very interesting info and thanks for the numbers. They are ridiculously low in a sport like cycling.

All you have to think about is this:

Lance was "clean" and winning the greatest race in the world while all of his top rivals were dirty. In no other sport can you be clean and winning while everyone around you is cheating.

I think that Lance was the best in the world, but in order to beat his top competitors while they were cheating, he had to cheat with his own blood. There is nothing that will ever change my mind. He would have to be Superman (before chemo) to beat the best in the world while they were cheating.

Think what you want, I think he cheated.

PS- But I still think that he's the best.
