I don't expect them to be honest about their means. However, if you are going to lie, you shouldn't be surprised if people don't treat you as though you have credibility.
 
I haven't read any government reports on this matter so need to take you at your word. There was a huge influx of Tea Party-ish groups at this point so to me is makes sense they'd get extra scrutiny at the time. Still, my bias is that I'd deny them all, left right green or yellow.

Extra scrutiny is fine. Railroading, obstructing the process, ignoring requests for an explanation, asking for donor lists, threats during audits isn't.

The clown show is from Schiff and the dems. Having closed hearings so they can leak what they want to the press and not let any truth come out. Absolutely despicable.

Speaking of Schiff and his claimed parody of the Zelensky call, do you have a comment on Trump's parody of Strozky and Paige conversation last night? Both are equally abhorrent, IMHO, and beneath the offices both men hold.

I won't debate that but would argue neither is appropriate. Then again, I also was in the minority on this site in chastising Trump mocking a disabled man at a rally. Maybe I have higher standards for a POTUS than some?

The video clips prior to that mocking showing that that is just an odd Trumpism are plentiful. He mocks people in that manner. It wasn't the writer specifically and his disability, but you know that. Should he mock? That is debatable, but it is what it is.

Just busting your chops on the spelling. Figured you knew that as well.
 
Nancy Pelosi described Trump as having a "meltdown" after he reportedly called her a "3rd rate politician" and said "some of ISIS are communists so you'd like them".

One thing Trump has done, without question, is to rip the facade off of a lot of people and expose them for what they really are. Many of these people have, for years, been putting out the pretense that they are are mature, steady and above the fray. Better than everyone else. But from the Intel Community to Generals, Trump has exposed these good folks as just normal, average humans beings -- with their own pettiness, partisanship and thin skin. In short, it turns out they are not better than everyone else. While you can fairly complain about Trump on this, he is not a career IC or Military Leader either.

I'm curious if JoeFan was planning to put Mattis' comments in context. He was the Keynote speaker at the 74th Annual Al Smith Foundation dinner which is a charity roast. He also called himself the "Meryl Streep of Generals".

Anything less than 5.5% growth, it’s panic time. Lots of developing countries in the 5% range of growth. China would be plain vanilla economically.

We track certain chemical consumption in China that for the most part track GDP. In the past, the numbers have mostly been in alignment. I haven’t seen the numbers lately though. Consumption reports come out every 1-2 years.

Communist countries always lie about their economic data. It is just what they do. They have to tell people how great they are even during problems. There can never an admittance of guilt or errors. China's banking system alone is in horrible trouble. US's gaining ground though.

Maybe I should phrase it as, what do they not lie about? -- from the content of their dog food and baby food, to the size of their prison population, to borders/boundaries, to what Mao really did.
