The BMX Files

boso - got to skate w/ clause grabke once when i lived in germany in hs. a friend of ours was a local pro and knew him. we went to a skatepark about an hour away from us to ride for a whole day (big deal to us, as there weren't full on, indoor skateparks around those days) and grabke and another santa cruz rider (can't remember who right now). i remember just being in AWE. i'd never seen someone kill a 1/2pipe like that in person. really nice guy also.

622 bids and only at $405? bunch of nickel and diming *******, huh!?! i bet that one goes for WAY more than that w/ a flurry of sniping at the end.

if that were a 26" f/f, i might be one of the snipers!

I truly loved my Diamond Back. Not on the same level as the Hutch's or the GTs here, but I dominated on a very similar bike to this

...and my life has never been the same.

endust - another pro ho story... there was a rickety halfpipe in a random german town we would go to every now and then...hop on the u-bahn and make a day trip out of it. pipe sucked *** and none of us could really ride pipe to beging w/ - hell, the pipe was decked w/ like 1x10s - deathtrap for us skaters. but there was lots of good street stuff around there and we liked going different places to skate.

so we roll up there one day and i **** you not, brian blyther and one of the other guys who had a signature haro bike (whoever had the master - their top rider) were there w/ a german host. just the 3 of them. totally random and just incredible to watch those guys ride! living in germany, you NEVER got to see the pros.

oh man, my friend brian in elementary had that blue hutch trick star. kick *** bike.

i remember seeing the gt tour team come through and put on shows in the parking lot at webster bikes in the early 90s a few times. my friends that were more into riding than me used to go to the bigger exhibitions around that time and i remember seeing a few of them standing around in this vhs tape i had called "RIDE" from a dallas stop. mat hoffman completely blew a backflip over the middle spine and came down directly on top of it on his chest - looked really painful. i also used to have a few vhs tapes from homeless bikes (now defunct austin based co.) where it was all filmed here in austin.

What the hell?
Webster Bikes... That's where I got all my bikes..

remember Cody Smart?

There's a blue Trick Star hanging in Webster bikes right now....

Question....
I don't ride mine all that much and it mostly hangs in the garage...

What is the best way to get rid of a little surface rust? What's best to buff out and shine up the chrome? It's been a while.

Thanks...
