the BIGGER picture on birth control debate

Michtex?

your article proves our point. BC IS free to the poor
so why has the birth rate risen in Texas and nearly every state with free BC to the poor?

and you truly prove Bo's farce has nothing to do with the poor

McBrett, no one buys birth control from a hosipital. Your example doesn't exist. People buy birth control from pharmacies most times through insurance companies. If you don't have a Walgreens in your town you can sign up for a mail order service and actually get your birth control cheaper.

Mich
do you want to veer off into a discussion on single mothr births?
I did bring it up but only to point out that even with free BC women still get pregnant and I would bet the number of single women who can get BC butstill get pregnant far out number married women who can get free BC

Your article mentioned the 27 states with this program si I did too.
As far as single mother births rising, in the words of johhnym google it, it has been in the news

so bak to topic
this BO frace is NOT about poor women not being able to get BC

to ask another question. so why don't these pooe feamles take their BC
why would they want another baby that they know will keep them on the gov't dole

"BI, I think you totally missed his point. He is saying that it is no organizations duty to protect the "poor" from themselves. It is the duty of the "poor" to learn through consequences what is the wise choice that leads to good and the foolish choice that leads to bad. "
When the consequence is an unwanted pregancy that's a pretty serious consequence. I'll go out on a limb to say that pregancies that arise because the impregnated could not afford birth control could be a serious consequence not only for them, but the rest of us as well. I'm not sure this issue bodes well for the Republican Party. As I understand it, the priests and bishops may publicly hold that every sperm is sacred, most practicing Catholics practice birth control more effective than rhythem.

does anyone think if this stands that Bo won't go after another constitional freedom? next time it could affect you directly

oh wait he already has

This is one of the most idiotic threads I've read here, and that's a high hurdle to get over. There are only two relevant things about this issue and the way it's being presented by the libs:

1. They talk about denying BC to the poor, but the issue is about it being provided in a plan for people who are employed, not those who are poor and unable or unwilling to work. They can afford the $15 a month or they can choose to work somewhere else that offers a plan that gives what they want.

2. Remember that the typical "poor" family in the USA has 2 cars, 2-3 TV's, most have a game system, etc., etc., etc. Those that truly can't afford the $15 a month can qualify to get them for free. Nobody is denying them BC, just disagreeing that the government should be able to force someone to pay for it.
