The big picture on birth control mandate

gecko
You speak the truth
but bo has sure duped a lot of people into thinking there is

do you think he has fooled himself too?

And just to add, whether it would be economically beneficial for an insurance company to offer free birth control as a means of reducing the numbers of pregnancies, and reduce costs, it would certainly be of dubious morality to do so.

Catholic church needs to stfu and join the real world on this issue, but if that's too much to ask then at least save it for the faithful and butt out of the secular public debate. Every dime spent on birth control pays for itself a million times over.

Yes, that's hyperbole.

? Poor people get free BC
If they are really poor they get it free and are unlikely to ve in a job with health insurance

But that is PPP's mission isn't it?
to reduce the number of inferiors and undesirables born?

mich?
You keep revealing how sadly uneducated you are. I hope you did not actually attend UT.

you posted
"Is that the way you see those who have babies that they can't provide for emotionally, financially, etc. ? As inferiors and undesirables?"

as if this is something I wrote.Sorry You trying to make it something I think fails
do some research on Planned parenthood and its founder.

Mich, you sure do project a lot. Let's say, hypothetically, that for an insurance company the single biggest cost for 18-35 year old females is prenatal and postnatal health care. Let's also say that it is determined that by providing a free product, namely birth control, the number of insured females that get pregnant is decreased, therefore reducing expenses and increasing profits for the insurance company.

The insurance company is not distinguishing between "wanted" and "unwanted" pregnancies, and this is not based on any health issue for the mothers. It is purely to increase the bottom line. I think most people would find that to be morally and ethically questionable.

Planned Parenthood says birth control pills cost $15-50 a month

Not to mention that condoms are available just about everywhere for minimal cost. Again... the idea that this is about providing affordable birth control options or making sure that everyone has access is a lie. Everyone has access - this is about forcing other people to pay for it and buying votes. And if it comes with the bonus of chasing religious institutions out of the health care industry, so much the better.
