Sure we finished a few outs short of our goal, but I'll take this run every year. These guys made me proud every swing of the bat!!

GO HORNS! Thanks again for an incredible season.

My blood pressure can go back down to normal now that this roller coaster ride of a post-season is over....cant wait til next year.

Players, coaches and staff - congrats on a fantastic season, and thank you very much for sharing it with us. You played with heart and made us all proud. No blame, no shame, no second-guessing, just pure happiness at having enjoyed the wild and wonderful ride that was Longhorn baseball 2009.

The whole ride from regionals, super regionals, and the CWS has been awesome. Thank you to everyone on the team for the joy you have given us this season.

While age and beer have taken a toll, this has been one of the most memorable seasons that I can recall. The no-hitter, the 25 inning game, so many come-from-behind wins - a championship next year would be almost anti-climatic (but I will take it!).

Congrats to Augie, Tommy, Skip, the seniors and the rest of team - all of you make us proud to be a Longhorn!

It was worth every minute and every penny to follow this Team. Wed night was painful but the knowledge that without the amazing moments that happened throughout the season / post-season, we'd have been talking about another year away from our Summer Home -- Omaha.

We don't have Woody pitch 13 - ALL under sudden death conditions - and then Dicharry come in for another freakin' 6 - TCU possibly hosts BC or the Cinderella Army.

B Loy doesn't hit that big shot and of course, Rockwall doesn't hit that GS into the left field night, we have trouble getting past a game Army with our dang tired arms on a hot Monday afternoon.

We don't show patience at the end and take those free rides that Omaha's love-affair, Southern Miss, gives us and we may be 1-2 through the LB and back home early.

We let the 1st Rounder in the MLB Draft get to us and let that 0-6 deficit get worse and we are 1-1 to the LB facing a stout UNC with two to win against the best ERA squad in Omaha if we had survived. Instead, we get to witness 10 straight and what we thought had to be the most amazing game the Horns would play in Omaha in '09....

And then...

Rupp Rowe! Lose this and then we get a Sat game at 6 and another chance for Murph's 'Better Team' to finally send us home to Austin. THIS was the best game in Omaha for these Longhorn Burnt Orange glasses-wearing Horn since that LAST time anyone had a WO Homer in Rosenblatt - "That damned Willis".

Finally, after reading the meltdown on the Boards after Monday and reading that we might as well get the bus started because we had NOTHING for Tigger on Tuesday, the game started. Our TRUE Freshman pitched a gem that we'll get to savor over the upcoming Football season and then part of the Basketball season where we might challenge for titles while we await the return of a solid Soph and Junior staff with some possible superstars among the incoming Freshmen.

Thank you is right. What an amazing Team.
