Yeah. I’ve really enjoyed following Casey and Hudson too. They were just like Maalik except they didn’t quite have the same level of supporting cast.
Curious how he has 2 years of eligibility left? He has played 3 seasons of more than 4 games so those would not qualify for a redshirt. The Covid year was 2020 so that wouldn’t apply to what he’s done from 21-23.Card had a rough year at Purdue:
but he still has two years of eligibility left after this season.
He was a redshirt freshman during Covid.Curious how he has 2 years of eligibility left? He has played 3 seasons of more than 4 games so those would not qualify for a redshirt. The Covid year was 2020 so that wouldn’t apply to what he’s done from 21-23.
I still don’t follow. I understand Covid was a freebie for everyone. Taking that year out of the equation, he played in enough games in 21, 22, and 23 to not be considered a redshirt. He should only have one year of eligibility remaining unless he plans on taking another redshirt year (since the Covid year redshirt would not count). He was a redshirt freshman during Covid.
That is correct because of the COVID-free pass. So now he has one redshirt year and the COVID year. Essentially the COVID year was a free pass for every player in every sport. (My niece played soccer for Cougar High, the COVID year was her sophomore year. She played for 4 seasons, but when she graduated, she still could have played due to the COVID year pass.)I still don’t follow. I understand Covid was a freebie for everyone. not trying to be argumentative about this but 2 years of eligibility would allow him to play in 5 full seasons without a redshirt. I don’t think that is correct.
Sark's presser - interesting discussion on the transfer portal and how some of the guys have entered the portal, but are staying with the team through the playoff. I think he mentioned 3 - Casey Cain, one of the DB's and Sawyer Goram-Welch. Said they offered that option to all of the portal guys. Not sure why they wouldn't take that opportunity - including Maalik.
j/k ... I didn’t know Bell was in the NFLSome of these big quarterbacks need to look at Blake Bell in the league stillcashing checksstealing money
He plays a little. They go TE heavy a lot. They like him as a blocker and for short yardage options as he can catch a little. They’ve screwed around with the bell dozer but it is silly to not have mahomes get the ball.j/k ... I didn’t know Bell was in the NFL
as QB? is he playing much?
edit: he's a TE, just checked
There are really no rules anymore.Curious how he has 2 years of eligibility left? He has played 3 seasons of more than 4 games so those would not qualify for a redshirt. The Covid year was 2020 so that wouldn’t apply to what he’s done from 21-23.
Uhhh… the guy who leaves the company doesn’t get the bonus if he leaves before it’s paid. For better or worse, that’s the way the world works. You’re not around at the final whistle, you don’t get the ring. And I absolutely appreciate the contributions he made in the K State and BYU games. And I appreciate that he’s well liked amongst his teammates.Maalik is the most coveted of those 4. My guess is Maalik wants to use this time to visit and weigh his options among the P5 schools after him. There are a few top destinations he could be looking at and he needs to focus on what is best for his future.
He probably doesn’t want to be a distraction either. Everything we’ve seen about Maalik is that he’s a stand up guy.
I just hope he gets a ring if we win it all. He has certainly contributed to our success this year.
As much as everyone else^ I bet you're fun at parties
