Yep. And I'll be glad when the day comes that I don't have to constantly talk about Baylor, because that would mean that Texas and maybe another team in conf will have finally beaten them on a consistent bases. But I don't see that happing anytime soon.

That was really fun. Charli was something else. I love her playing all over the floor. Her 10-15 foot face-up jumpers are beautiful. Kyra is so smooth. It is fun when she gets on one of her 3 point shooting rolls. We lost some great players from last year, but we seem a lot better in some departments --- I haven't compared the stats, but it seems like we have a lot fewer turnovers and make fewer silly fouls. If that's true, I guess Vic's coaching gets the credit. My goal for our team now is to pay back W. Virginia and OSU with wins at home.

Unfortunately Baylor has earned their status as the gold standard for the Big XII, by which all other teams in the conference compare themselves. That's why @kurupt mentions them, as I have also in the past. I don't see anything wrong with wanting our program to equal theirs. Hopefully we can level up with them within the next 3-5 yrs. I believe we will, it's just going to take time to rebuild. Again, the decision regarding the transfer rule will most likely play a major role.
In the meantime... Hook 'Em!

I think both WV and OSU are toss ups. We cannot beat them with Celeste going 5/22 and the team 3/15 from three. Tech exploded with turnovers in the 2nd qtr and Kyra hit 3 three's. The other 3 qtrs were basically even. And Charli won't be able to stand under the basket and take 3 shots every time against the bigs they have.

WV and OSU have smart coaches. They will make sure Kyra doesn't beat them from 3. Can someone else step up? Occasionally JAT does, but she's inconsistent. Celeste plays great defense, but will she ever become a scorer?

Nope. I'm a Texas fan. And I always bring up Baylor because they've always,(for the most part) beaten Texas and won the conf. for almost the last 2 decades.
